About: 2019 is the 100th year for foundation of International Astronomy Union (IAU), to celebrate, IAU invited astronomers and astronomy enthusiasts around the globe to share astronomy to the public. We, YSAS, as one of Hong Kong’s astronomy society, would like to join this global starparty named 100 Hours of Astronomy. We are going to bring our telescopes to Shatin Park and do what astronomers do best – show and tell.

Public Stargazing Night: Hong Kong, China
Organiser: Ho Koon Nature Education cum Astronomical Centre (Sponsored by Sik Sik Yuen)

About: Ho Koon Nature Education cum Astronomical Centre will open to the pubic for stargazing on the rooftop and at the observatory. The observatory of the Centre has a 50-cm computerised telescope along with different kinds of telescopes and binoculars. Participants can have a closer look at the celestial objects using the giant telescope and have a better understanding of the Universe.
