This is a public Night sky Observation Event and this will be a opportunity to observe Planets,Moon and other deep sky objects through telescopes for the people who don't have facility to observe through telescopes.
ASTROMINDS is a National Platform for Astronomy and Space Science Technology in Sri Lanka.

About: The Sky for All ("සැමට අහස") is a public outreach programme in Astronomy organized by Anandian Astronomical Association together with Star Party group and Astronomical Research Institute of Sri Lanka to celebrate 100 Hours of Astronomy, which is globally celebrated for 100 years for IAU. The Objective of this programme is to improve general knowledge of observational astronomy for public in Sri Lanka. According to the theme. As a developing country, general knowledge on Astronomy, The universe, The Sky and telescopes are very poor in the Sri Lankan society. As a professionals in Astronomy its our authority to organize awareness programme to the public. The public will get chance to use telescopes to observe the The Sun , Moon and some night sky objects while our professionals are giving solutions for your astronomy related problems and mysteries of the universe.

About: As a celebration program for 100th anniversary of IAU, Nalanda College Astronomical Society (NCAS) has organized an astronomy Solar observation camp in Nalanda College, Colombo, which is in the Western Province of Sri Lanka. This includes solar observations with H-α personal solar telescope for 300 students who are in grades 5 through 13. Participants will carry out various activities like sunspot observation, sunspot mapping and interactive lecture sessions by undergraduate and postgraduate lecture panel. Nalanda College Astronomical Society is the leading school astronomical society in Sri Lanka. Along with its alumni club (Nalanda College Alumni Astronomical Society) it has done various activities to promote astronomy and science in general among students and public through its history of 24 years from 1995.

About: In our program “IAU 100th anniversary celebration in Sri Lanka”, Is a program containing three astronomy related lectures and one workshop. Our institute is grateful to organize four days event for celebrate International Astronomy Union (IAU), 100th anniversary. Our goals are to reach from these program to enhance astronomy and relevant fields’ knowledge in Sri Lankan society, enhance the awareness of astronomy education. Increase the public attraction for astronomy education, Develop knowledge in astronomy teachers in Sri Lanka. And we hope to webcast our events via social media or our web site (www.ioas.edu.lk) around the world. 
1) 10.01.2019: 1600h - 1830h, Lecture: Aurora Abound (about how the aurora phenomena works). By: Mr. Jude Vijayanga Wijesekara (MSc in Material Physics (reading), University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka 
2) 11.01.2019: 1600h - 1830h, Lecture: An indirect Evidence for the existence of dark energy/dark matter by considering a pulsar. By: Miss. K. H. K Geerasee Wijesuriya (Postgraduate researcher, Department of physics, University of Colombo, Sri Lanka 
3) 12.01.2019: 1700h - 2200h, Workshop : Astro - space workshop (This workshop for primary students who are in age 6-11 years), for give basic idea of solar system and basic astronomy theories with small activities and also made an awareness of important of Astronomy education for parents, increase primary student for involvement to astronomy activities and studies. By: Mrs. Thathsarani Bulathsinghala (MSc in Environmental & Industrial Chemistry – University of Kelaniya, Sri Lanka) 
4) 13.01.2019: 0900h - 1130h, Lecture: Enabling high priority astronomy for miniaturized satellites. By: Yasith Ramaickrama (MSc in Applied Electronics – University of Colombo, Sri Lanka)

About: As a celebration program for 100th anniversary of IAU, Nalanda College Astronomical Society (NCAS) has organized an astronomy outreach program in Hillwood Girls College, Kandy, which is in the Central Province of Sri Lanka. This includes solar observations with H-α personal solar telescope and a star party in the same day for 800 students who are in grades 5 through 13. Participants will carry out various activities like sunspot observation, sunspot mapping, deep sky observation, planets observation and mapping, water rocket competition and interactive lecture sessions by undergraduate and postgraduate lecture panel. Nalanda College Astronomical Society is the leading school astronomical society in Sri Lanka. Along with its alumni club (Nalanda College Alumni Astronomical Society) it has done various activities to promote astronomy and science in general among students and public through its history of 24 years from 1995.

Nescafe Dansal at Sri Padaya ( ශ්‍රී පාද නෙස්කැෆේ දන්සල): Ratnapura, Sri Lanka

About: Sri Padaya is one of the most sacred places in Sri Lanka. A legend says Load Budda put his foot print during his 3 rd visit to Sri Lanka. In every year from December to May thousands of Locals and Foreigners visit sri Pada, because of two reasons. To warship Sri pada and observe the sun rise from sri Pada also called The "Ira Sevaya". "Ira sewaya" ( Fluctuation of refractional image of solar disk due to Earth's atmosphere and visaual horizon depression for few minutes before sunrise and diffractional image of the Sri Pada mountain ) are most beautiful and colourful visual observations that can be seen in the world, when one observes the sky in the early morning from Adam's Peak. A Journey to the peak of Sri Pada is 7 mile long steep hike. for last 10 years we organized a dansala at the mid-point of the parth to the Sri Pada peak for giving free nescafee and coffee to the people those who are committed to this tiresome journey. Sri Pada Dansala serves around 2000 people in this charity event. people After the dansala the crew travel to the mountain peak and watch the sun rise together with locals and foreigners. This time we are organizing this event for 10th time along with IAU's 100 Hours of Astronomy .
