How do I watch “Around the World in 80 Telescopes” on my computer?
Answer
The webcast will be streamed live through Ustream.tv, which means that you can view it using a normal web browser (with the Flash plugin). You will need a broadband internet connection. Our Ustream page will be http://www.ustream.tv/channel/100-hours-of-astronomy but we will embed the video player on the http://www.100hoursofastronomy.org/ website and encourage other sites to do the same.
When playing the stream, we recommend clicking on the “Toggle fullscreen” button in the bottom right, to play the video in full screen, for the best view. While there will be advertisements at the bottom of the video window (which are out of our control), these can be closed by clicking on their “X” icon. Viewing the video in full screen also means that the webcast video will be larger relative to the advertisements.
