Why is the 100 Hours of Astronomy held in April?
Answer
As this is a global event, the task team wanted to find a month in the year where the temperatures were a little more stable (not too cold or too hot) for both hemispheres. That is why April was chosen for The 100 Hours of Astronomy. The first day of spring in the northern hemisphere and the first day of autumn in the southern hemisphere fall around April each year.
