Description
Windward Community College's Center for Aerospace Education includes a variety of educational and research facilities:
*Hokulani Imaginarium--a 66-seat digital planetarium;
*Lanihuli Observatory--a 16-inch optical telescope, a solar telescope, a cosmic ray telescope, and a Radio Jove telescope;
*Aerospace Exploration Lab--a hands-on science exploratorium;
*NASA AEL Flight Training Center--a project-based learning environment exploring microgravity and aeronautics.
Center for Aerospace Education facilities are used by WCC college and UH students, K-12 school groups, teacher training and by the general public. The facilities also support the college's Hawaii SpaceGrant Consortium students.
