Buhl Observatory - Carnegie ScienceCenter

The Buhl Observatory - Carnegie Science Center is the home for astronomy from April 2- 5. Join the expert stargazers of the Amateur Astronomers Association of Pittsburgh and the staff of Buhl Planetarium for a tour of the night sky with a wide variety of telescopes and the observatories 16in Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope. Our event also includes special planetarium shows and solar observing during the day, and evening stargazing in the Buhl Observatory from 8:30 – 10:30 pm each night. Watch each night as the Moon transitions from first quarter to gibbous,good phases for early evening observing. Saturn will also be the highlight of our early evening observing sessions.
