Join the Dreyfuss Planetarium staff at Riker Hill Park in Livingston. Telescopes will be set up for the public to see Saturn, the Moon and other wonders of the spring sky. Free.

Weather permitting. Rain date is Saturday, April 4. Stargazing events are free, no reservations required and telescopes are provided for viewing. Cosponsored by Essex County Department of Parks. Directions and a map are available on the planetarium web site.

Description

Riker Hill Art Park, a 42-acre former US Nike missile tracking base, acquired in 1977. The buildings that once housed army facilities have been converted to art studios where sculpture, painting, photography, and various crafts now flourish. The Newark Museum also cosponsors stargazing at this site a few times a year. The park is located on Beaufort Ave off of Eisenhower Parkway in Livingston.
