Description
"100 Horas de Astronomía en el Perú" will be a four days full of celebration in Peru of the International Year of Astronomy 2009, organized by SPACE-FCF-UNMSM and suported by the special project Travelling Telescope IYA2009-Peru. It will be held with a considerable number of activities, given peruvian people a unique oportunity to enjoy astronomy with professional astronomers and specialists in space science.
Main activities:
1.- Lectures given by professionals astronomers.
2.- Astronomical posters exhibition
3.- Full day telescope viewing (sunspots, Moon, Saturn, etc.)
4.- Educational astronomical films

The Seminario Permanente de Astronomía y Ciencias Espaciales (SPACE) is the major organization of professional astronomers and the first academic and research center in Peru, located in the Faculty of Physics of the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos, Lima, Peru.
