Description
Join the Chester County Astronomical Society and West Chester Recreation at Hoopes Park on Saturday April 4th at 8:00 p.m. for a night under the Moon and stars. This event is part of a world wide event called The 100 Hours of Astronomy, which is a part of the celebration of 2009 as the International Year of Astronomy!
Starting at 8:00 p.m., members of the club, a group of amateur astronomers formed in 1993, will be available as night sky tour guides. On the field, an assortment of telescopes will be focused on the night sky. In addition to the Moon, Saturn will be another highlight of the evening, along with the Big Dipper and the Beehive star cluster.

The Chester County Astronomical Society and West Chester Recreation will host a public star party at Hoopes Park at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday April 4th. Club members will bring telescopes to the north field near the pavilion at Hoopes Park to share the night sky with the public.
