Description:
The Kepler Mission is NASA's first mission capable of discovering Earth-size planets in the habitable zone of other stars. Kepler launched March 6, 2009, and will operate 3.5 years (minimum). Kepler is a photometric instrument with a specially designed 0.95-meter wide field telescope (FOV=105 square degrees) encompassing millions of stars.
