Birthday:: 1999.11.30

I'm a Canadian astronomer, 47 years old, living in Kingston, Ontario. Kingston is a city of about 100,000 people on the shores of Lake Ontario. I got my Ph.D. in astronomy at Queen's University in 1992, and since then have worked as an astronomer in Toulouse, Cambridge (UK), and Sydney (Australia). Most recently I did a stint as Australian Deputy Gemini Scientist, returning to Canada in Nov 2008. I like doing both astronomical research and outreach, and am having a lot of fun working on 100 Hours and local IYA activities in Kingston.
