I live in San Francisco, California and am a member of SFAA (San Francisco Amateur Astronomers). My educational background is in engineering and business and I have worked in the Bay Area and in Germany in high technology firms. At present I work at Greenplum, a database software company. I have been an avid amateur astronomer since my youth and have traveled to see total solar eclipses. In recent years my passion for astronomy has grown and I am always looking for ways to engage people in the subject. I write a blog (urbanastronomer.blogspot.com) and am a guest on the radio station KFOG in San Francisco from time to time to talk about astronomy.
